Melanie Boehi is a historian, research associate at the Wits Institute for Social and Economic Research (WISER) in Johannesburg and from September 1, 2022, postdoctoral fellow at the Section d’histoire at the Université de Lausanne. Her research focuses on the environmental humanities, plants, gardens, museums, archives and journalism. She takes multispecies storytelling seriously. Together with Zayaan Khan, she initiated and curates the Centre for Plant Interpretation.
